As I am sitting at my desk on this beautiful Sunday in Virginia, I am busy researching a new list of potential contacts that two of my clients may be interested in pursuing. Name, title, organization, email, etc. Research. Which business has the right alignment to the clients, create the initial "get to know us" email and delay delivery to one morning this week. Outreach. Follow up email asking for a call, zoom or coffee (in January :) ). Connect on LinkedIn, and look for a connection with the prospective new contact, school, jobs, activities, and mention that in the message you send asking for the connect. Engage. Fundraisers know, this is when we hit Repeat. Over and over, we research, we use our outreach skills and we find ways to engage. It is the nature of our job, and we love it.
